The nightstand starts with durable, full-of-character pin-knotty cherry wood and rich walnut veneers, hand-selected and matched by color and wood grain to create a seamless, consistent look. Veneers are stronger and more durable than solid wood as they resist shrinking, swelling, warping, and cracking. They're finished here in a warm,ﾠrustic Umbrian Brown, which enhances the natural beautyﾠ-ﾠand natural imperfectionsﾠ-ﾠof the wood veneers.
The nightstand's three roomy drawers are ideally sized and situated to catch every nighttime and morning necessity you might need by the bedside. Each drawer features wood sides and backs with veneer bottomsﾠ-ﾠveneers are durable and less likely to warp over time and in humidity changes. The drawer bottoms are stained and sealed to protect materials placed inside. English dovetail construction creates smooth edges, and stop blocks are nailed and glued behind each drawer to ensure the drawer stops solidly and in the proper position.
Custom-designed solid brass hardware with a heavily carved leaf design adds a little rich gleam to the nightstand's shaped, arched front. This nightstand coordinates with other Tuscan Villa collection pieces.
